Rules Discussion / Exile – Actions
« on: September 01, 2016, 07:17:29 AM »
Exile does not forbid a creature to do actions or get active (in difference to Banish).

So am I right that:

a) The creature and its attached objects may not be targeted
b) The creature may not target other objects
c) The creature can do its action during the action phase
d) The creature will be turned active during the reset phase
e) The creature may target objects attached on itself?

Rules Discussion / Rouse the Beast in Team Games
« on: June 13, 2016, 01:44:41 PM »
I was asked an interesting question during the Mage Wars Team Battles:

Is it possible to target the same creature multiple times in the same round with Rouse the Beast in team games through multiple mages of the same team?

This of course isn’t intended with this card, but per wording I had to say yes. The card reads “you” can’t target a creature multiple times, but in my understanding, “you” is a single player in team games. Would the card say “A creature can’t be targeted multiple times per round”, this wouldn’t be possible, but “you can only cast this one time per round on the same creature” actually would allow this.

Rules Discussion / Rouse the Beast before Activation Phase
« on: August 21, 2014, 08:10:18 AM »
Hi, I’m once again redirecting a question from the German Mage Wars forum to be completely sure:

Is it possible to cast Rouse the Beast with the Quick Cast Action before the Action Phase and then activate the roused creature?

Or do you need to say which creature you’ll activate before you can do the Quick Cast Action?

Thanks, netzhuffle

A question from the German Mage Wars Forum:

Does the mage need LoS to target the animal creature?

World and Lore / Dawnbringer / Dawnbreaker
« on: January 29, 2014, 02:52:29 PM »
The flavor text of Divine Might (Conquest of Kumanjaro) references a “Dawnbringer”, where the cards in the base set only write about the Dawnbreaker. Is that the same god (?) or is there a Dawnbreaker and a Dawnbringer?
