Spellbook Design and Construction / Arena Elemental Wizard
« on: April 12, 2020, 02:33:54 AM »
I love the Wizard, but wish he was more "Elemental" than just "air/arcane". But I don't care, I built him as if he was an Elemental and wanted to make it fun/thematic.

So, a couple side notes:
1) I only play physical game with my wife, and we only play for fun. I can't be competitive or she wont play.
2) As I said in 1, I only play physical, so i'm working with what cards I have. I do not have all sets.
3) This is meant to be a fun/thematic build.
4) My wife basically only play's Priestess. I know that basically means I probably don't need 1/2 the cards I have, but I am also looking for a single spell book to be able to play a variety of different ways as well in a single book :)
5) My wife allows me to play Wizards Tower as spellbound and not the new Errata rules.

I JUST built it, and will probably play tomorrow, but just thought I would post on here for some input if you wanna give any :) Maybe some combos with the creatures/spells or something i may not of thought of.

Creative / Token Finding Struggle
« on: March 29, 2020, 01:04:53 AM »
So, one of the things that irritated me the most when I started playing the game was the condition tokens. It would of been one thing if they were all the same, meaning, all BURNS have STUN on the back, or whatever. That I could of gotten used to. But having random things on random sides, that was a quick no-go for me. So, my solution, I cut ALL condition tokens in halve using a sharp razer blade, matched them up, and glued them back together! Now this will cause some to be mis-sized, cause you to technically have less of all the tokens, but made it 100x easier for me to be able to reach into my token bin, and find/get the one I need. Be sure if you try this, to use a SHARP razor blade to cut them, but obviously, it goes without saying to make sure your being as *CAREFUL AS POSSIBLE*. The easiest way I found was to set the token on a table, hold the back side with left hand, hold the razer blade with the right, barely poke the token with the tip, and kind of roll it along the table, cutting all along the edge, and it will cut into the middle as it goes. You will get some very thin, and some thick. I just tried to match up a thick with a thin to try and keep them similar sizes. Then just normal Elmers glue or stick glue works. My first batch i did stick glue thinking it would be cleaner application, but it was not. Elmers glue takes a little longer to dry, but seemed to be able to control it better.
Let me know if you guys felt the same way about the tokens and what your solution to it was! Thanks!

Creative / Mage Models - HeroForge
« on: March 26, 2020, 03:25:41 PM »
I seen a thread or two about using Models instead of cards for mages. Well Its hard to really get good matches for the types of mages we have, at least it has been hard for me. So over the past few weeks, ive been trying to create/design some off of the Hero Forge website. Now obviously, you wont ever get perfect.. But I tried to get as close as I could while capturing the "essence" of the mage at hand. Let me know what you think :)

Creative / 3D Printer Projects
« on: February 13, 2020, 04:42:23 PM »
Hi everyone! I'm still a big fan of the game, and will be purchasing a 3D Printer soon. I'm curious and wondering if anyone has done any projects with this game and their 3D Printer. I have seen the alternative Initiative token STL file floating around, and a Token holder, but that's about it. I was thinking of maybe doing 3d versions of our Wall spells, maybe some for our generic Mana Flowers, maybe even some mage models. Maybe a special token to indicate if a Flying creature is flying. Things of all that nature. Just wondering if anyone has already started little projects like this and has any insight on it.
