Hi =)

Start from here:
Borg got a nice opening idea way back.

There are two vids available in which I play a variation in an OCTGN tourney

Introduction of Type 2 was actually the reason I quit MtG

what is type 2?

In Magic it's a format that only uses the 2 most recent blocks of cards. It became "Standard" and now Standard format includes the last three blocks of cards, but blocks are no longer 3 sets large. To play Standard, you only build your deck out of the cards from the legal blocks.
... i prefere to wait 5 years for a new set than see MW come to that...

Adding the videos in which the deck (and earlier version) is featured. Might be interesting at least for the played-out opening.
ADMW (German commentary only ...sry. Good competitve game imho):

Thunderdome (very long but epic):

As it got requested in the WApp group, here's the FM I played in the tourneys.
It does include minor post-tournament changes (iirc I revamped the attack spells from Force to Fire and in turn got rid of the Stalker). Other ideas I haven't managed to include yet. Guess the most important would be to find room for:
1x Mage Wand: less fragile than a Spore (but also less flexible).

The opening is a variation of the "Trap Opening" (Spiked+Teleport) posted by Borg some months ago.

Still there is the need to come up with sth. to get a clear situation.

1. drawing lots

2. Sonneborn Berger (discussed above) makes most sense if you need a non-random decision asap.

3. If one player doesn't have an interest to leave group stage one might also have  a decider match between the other two (only allowing mages already played for example).

4. very time consuming options

Hey remember were not using this in this tournament :P

yay! arrived home just in time :)

I will do my best to be available.  Depending on the speed of the game I may have to miss the back half of it, but I'll cut it to size when we do the commentary.

Good game. The 12 rounds took a while but it was honest creature bashing over board control :)
Swarmy Beastmaster with some biggies is quite scary I have to admit.
In the end Samandriel convinced the Beastmaster it was time to leave the arena.

Group stage ends for me:

gw vs. ...

...arxiducs (J. Beastmistress) : played (Priest) / won

...kaarin/Wstrząśnięty (Arax. Warlock) : played (S. Beastmaster) / won

...leggyblonde (Necromancer) : played (Druid) / lost

...Tyrnan (S. Beastmaster) : played (Priestess) / won

encountered 2 things:

1. armor (equpiment) wasn't recognized and veteran's belt conversion didn't work properly.
problems didn't occur from the beginning. random time in the gamee (no idea what could have a triggered it) it stopped working

2. wanted to attack a wallo thorns with my knight of west and guard angel. instead of initiating attack sequence it prompted me to pay mana for a spell.
