Indeed, we are off to a slow start this month. We needed to kick it up and show people how awesome we think this game is.

Ok voted. Wow some of those lists are just nuts. Really Settlers of Cataan isn't top tier material?

What we must all remember is no matter the game we were all newbies at one point.

Alrighty then Mage Warriors in total vote count for the tier we are third in total vote count behind "Thurn and Taxis" never even heard of it! Now the good news, MW has the most 1st place votes. Please take a second to go over there an make your voice heard!

I've heard of it. It's a decent Euro game, and bgg seems to favor euros, but mage wars is definitely better than it or suburbia! We should be first in total votes (which is what matters most in this contest).

Things are looking up MW as moved into 2nd place in overall voting and is doing very well in the 1st place category (in 1st with 48 votes). Now for the not so good, we are 20 overall votes behind Suburbia. If you haven't, please take a moment and go over to BGG (the direct link is in the OP of this thread) and vote for the awesomest of games!

Ok guys, this is the last day of February so we need to get out there and vote! We are off 40 or so votes from last month! We are ahead of Thurn and Taxis at least but still behind Suburbia in overall vote count.

sIKE, you prompted me to dig out my old BGG account password and vote.
I even found Zuberi there and responded to him, while selling Mage Wars' Eurogamer credentials.
(Oh dear, I've become embarrassingly pro-establishment)

It made me think that we really should be discussing interesting stuff on the BGG forum.
I think I'm going to copy Resources to that forum so that Eurogamers will be more attracted to the game.
I think the problem Mage Wars has is it looks lowbrow when it's actually deceptively deep
There's a lot of intellectual snobbery among gamers (I'm living proof) so we need to rebrand the game on BGG a bit.

I know because I come from a Eurogamer background, but with a perference for deep, strongly thematic games.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. And then it's just fun.
