Solid start. I would try and make room for Wardstone, Wall of Thorns, Tanglevine, Reverse Attack and maybe a way of dealing with flying creatures.

Is Wardstone a significant deterrent? An extra 2 mana seems like something most people would be willing to pay.

Funny you mention those other spells. I originally had all 3 in my book at one point, but rarely cast them. Wall of thorns occasionally (though I was more likely to get in my opponent's face and swing at them rather than take time setting up a wall push), never once cast tanglevine, and I rarely cast reverse because I would let my armor/forcefield/defense/block absorb hits.

The flying thing came up last night when I told my paladin opponent I was glad they hadn't summoned any griffins. I figured my sleeps and charm would help. But I rarely see flying things, so don't have much experience to go from.

You might want to consider the Leviathan Scale instead of the Storm Drake hide, if you are going to sport only one set of torso armor. That other armor can help you survive the FM's nemesis attack spell Surging Wave.

agree with davew here. surging wave is a huge problem for the fm.
