Rules Discussion / Re: How does dispelling Magebound enchantments work?
« on: October 08, 2012, 12:21:08 AM »
I guess it comes down to "fluff". I could see it go either way.

You are right though. the rules do say that the magebind cost apply to all purposes which refer to reveal cost.

Wow, that would make a big difference. If the extra cost is suppose to represent how binding a spell to a mage is hard, it would not necessary harder to strip it away.

I say it is the cost listed on card. The +2 to cost for mage binding is suppose to be a penalty to the caster, not a way to protect your spells from being removed because the removal cost is so high.

Rules Discussion / Re: Friendly Nullify on opponent creature

It really comes down to how you read: "a spell controlled by the opponent" and whether it refer to the opponent of the enchantment owner, or to the opponent of the creature?

Rules Discussion / Enfeeable
« on: October 07, 2012, 10:59:08 PM »
Recently played a creature heavy Wizard and I saw how nastly slow is for a trait.

If Enfeeble is cast on a mage, can they not take a quick action after moving, just like any other creature?

Also I assume this means, if the mage does not move, they still get their quick action and full action.

Rules Discussion / Re: Double Casting a Wand
« on: October 05, 2012, 06:52:39 PM »
It seems to me that a mage would carry more than one wand. So why can't he dual wield?

However I see on the page 24 of the rule book that this is illegal.

Perhaps their will be an epic wand in the future which can also allow incantations?

It is pretty expensive but it is an amazing spell. Recently hit one of my own creatures to keep the lightning bouncing. Blinding flash is cheap if you have some creatures to attack the dazed and stunned creatures.

I am interested in meeting for games as well. Perhaps piousflea and 2 other could join us for a 4 person smack down.

Rules Discussion / Mana Drain

Does Mana Drain only get triggered when attacking creatures or can you attack conjuration as well? One sentence says creatures. The second sentence references objects.

General Discussion / Purge Magic and Seeking Dispel
« on: September 19, 2012, 09:15:38 PM »
If you cast Seeking Dispel or Purge Magic at hidden nullify enchantment. Does the nullify cancel out the Purge Magic or Seeking Dispel? Or does the enchantment never get revealed.

General Questions / Re: Rage ability
« on: August 23, 2012, 06:34:48 AM »
The question is does a fire ball from a mage count as attacked.

How about a gorilla being burned the turn after an attack (burn token).

Lastly does trap damage or other direct damage count? Technically the trap was an attack from the mage.

The question is what is considered an attack: just physical attacks? I would think a fire ball would count.

And what about if a warlock sets the gorilla on fire. I would think that the gorilla taking damage from a previous turns attack (burn token) would count. However I could rationalized that the attack has to happen in the same turn.

How about a gorilla being burned the turn after an attack (burn token).

Lastly does trap damage or other direct damage count? Technically the trap was an attack from the mage.

General Questions / Rage ability
« on: August 21, 2012, 07:32:55 PM »
Rage rules are the following: Each time it is attacked and Damaged by an enemy creature, place a Rage
token on it. It cannot have more than X tokens on it.

1. Does Rage get built up when Creature has spell cast on it?
2. Does Rage get built up when Creature has burn token and takes damage on it?
3. Does Rage get built up when Creature has rot/poison token when taking damage on it?
