We'll be releasing the story online as it comes out in stores. This kit is going to be a little weird timing wise because of the holidays and our delays from the printers. You do not need to make up a week. I'll get back to you guys on officially when the next pack will be coming out.

Hey guys,

I posted something similar in another thread, but I wanted to let you guys know that we listened to your feedback and we're happy to announce that the Core Spell Tome 2 is now out and shipping to distributors as they order it. Be sure to let your retailers know that you want a copy in. We can't tell you how much it means to have fans that so willingly communicate honest feedback with us. We're a game company for gamers by gamers and we really want you to know that we listen to your feedback and we act on it. You guys wanted another CST to get more of the spells you wanted, and as soon as we could get it through production, you've got it! Between the CST1 and CST2 is now every card currently out. Thanks again for being such an awesome fanbase!

Player Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Card distribution in future products

Hey guys,

I just wanted to give you a quick update. We are always listening to your feedback, and trying to incorporate it as best we can into our future designs. We're proud today to announce the second core spell tome, with a focus on some of the higher level spells and legendary cards. Between Core Spell Tome 1 and Core Spell Tome 2, we have every spell in the game available. We're hoping this kind of open relationship between the players and designers means that we can make better decisions in the future about which cards to include and how to distribute them, but for now, I just wanted to let you know. We're listening!

We've had a lot of feedback of this, and it's definitely something we're working towards. The hope is to release them as promos, or in organized play, or slip them into tradeshows or future core spell tomes.

Who is your distributor, if you don't mind me asking? Also, if you want to e-mail me at seanmccoy@arcanewonders.com I can help you out further.

Confirmed! There is no limit to the amount of mana, life, etc. that you can take.

Kits shipped yesterday! So they should be arriving soon.

That's correct - it looks like our printer is running behind and that the kits will be shipping out closer to the end of November than we were hoping. We're sincerely sorry about this, we've been working very hard to get a great OP campaign started, with lots of promos and an awesome story. Things should run much smoother after the first month.

I'm not entirely sure which cards are putting you over the point limit, but a couple things to remember:

The Warlock is trained in the fire school, as well as the dark school, so this means spells like Battleforge he only pays double for the War school (not for the fire school). Also, remember that spells marked "novice" (like Leather Boots), all count as just the level no matter what mage uses them.

The OP kits are sold through the distributors.

Rules Discussion / Re: Explode vs. Reverse Attack?
« on: November 13, 2012, 02:23:58 PM »
This is an awesome question.

The way it works, I believe, would be that the attack on the Explode would set off the Reverse Attack. However, the Explode's attack is Unavoidable - so the Reverse Attack would be discarded.

I actually just got an update from CardgameDB - they are working on it over there and making good progress. Yesterday I heard that they have all the card data inputted, which is awesome news. I got a nice little preview of the card search function last night too.

Also, they are adding in an extra "errata" portion for us so that we can give you notes, etc. on all the cards, etc. So, I'm pretty happy with that.

I'll see if I can find out when certain parts of the feature will be live and get that information over to you.
